Tenants must meet minimum income eligibility requirements based on family size, have good credit and meet certain occupancy standards. The Chicano Federation is an equal opportunity housing provider.
Step 1: | Research each property based on location and age restrictions. |
Step 2: | Download the application and email it to ResourceCenter@ChicanoFederation.org. |
Step 3: | Once you’re application has been received, the Chicano Federation team will call you to assess your housing and supportive needs. It is during this time that the staff will determine eligibility to move on to Step 4. |
Step 4: | Meet with our property management team to arrange a tour of vacant properties and finalize the process for housing approval. |
Please note that reaching Steps 3 and 4 doesn’t guarantee housing. All qualified applicants are placed on a waitlist and housed according to availability, rented on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Waitlist Protocol:
Every year, applicants will receive written notification via email to confirm their continued interest in our housing. Applicants who do not respond within the specified timeframe will be removed from the waitlist..
