National Council of La Raza (NCLR): national organization engaged in public policy advocacy in Washington, D.C. and selected states. Field offices in five states to work with local affiliates on state issues. California field office is in Los Angeles.
Greenlining Coalition: multi-ethnic state organization representing Latinos, Africa-Americans, Asians, Filipinos to promote economic investment, contracting with minority businesses and increased philanthropy by corporations. Advocates on range of issues impacting ethnic communities, e.g. health care, environmental clean-up, etc.
Latino Advisory Committee to the Superintendent: primary focus is working with the Superintendent of City Schools and his staff to improve academic achievement and quality of education for Latino students.
San Diego Association of Nonprofits (SANDAN): promotes the interests of the nonprofit sector with San Diego County health and human service contracting agencies; advocates on state/federal legislation & policies that affect the nonprofit sector.
San Diego Housing Federation: advocates on affordable housing issues, including for the homeless and people with disabilities.
