has been providing quality, low-cost, primary
health care services to South Bay residents
for over 32 years. In addition to the main
health center in San Ysidro, SYHC maintains
satellite clinics in Chula Vista and National
City that are conveniently located and easily
accessible using the public transit system
- bus or trolley. SYHC offers an extensive
array of family-oriented primary health care
services, including pediatrics, obstetrics
and gynecology, adult medicine, dental care
services, mental health services, optometry,
podiatry, radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy. |

California Association
of Nonprofits (CAN) www.canonprofits.org
is a statewide membership organization of
over 1,700 diverse nonprofits dedicated to
protecting, strengthening, and promoting nonprofit
organizations in our state.
CAN's mission
is to promote, strengthen and advance the
influence, professionalism accountability
and effectiveness of nonprofit organizations
in a manner that builds their capacity to
accomplish their missions and preserves the
idealism and value of nonprofit organizations

National Council of La Raza (NCLR) www.nclr.org is a private,
nonprofit, nonpartisan, tax-exempt organization
established in 1968 to reduce poverty and
discrimination, and improve life opportunities
for Hispanic Americans.
NCLR is the largest constituency-based
national Hispanic organization, serving all
Hispanic nationality groups in all regions
of the country. NCLR has over 270 formal affiliates
who together serve 40 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. |

California NCLR Affiliate Network (CNAN) www.cnan.org
represents over 40 NCLR affiliates throughout
California. CNAN
members work in local communities providing
a wide range of services in the fields of
education, healthcare, education, childcare,
economic development, housing development
and workforce development.

public policy work in Sacramento. |

The Greenlining Institute www.greenlining.org
is
an organization dedicated towards improving
the quality of life for low-income and minority
communities.
Understanding
that ethnic communities are often unheard
in major policy debates, the Greenlining Institute
works to ensure that the needs of these communities
are addressed proactively and positively in
major policy discussions. Greenlining represents
these interests with major corporations, educational
institutions, special interest associations,
and government officials. |

The Southwest Voter Registration Education
Project (SVREP) www.svrep.org
is
committed to educate Latino communities across
the Southwest about the democratic process,
the importance of voter registration, and
voter participation. At its core is its mission
to politically empower Latinos by increasing
civic engagement in the American electoral
system. This can only be attained through
the strengthening and exercising of the fundamental
right to vote. Thus, SVREP's motto: "Su
Voto Es Su Voz" (Your Vote is Your Voice). |

Latino
Issues Forum (LIF) www.lif.org is a non-profit
public policy and advocacy institute dedicated
to advancing new and innovative public policy
solutions for a better, more equitable and
prosperous society. Established in 1987, LIF's
primary focus is on the broader issues of
access to higher education, economic development,
health care, citizenship, regional development,
telecommunications issues and regulatory issues.
LIF also serves as a clearinghouse to assist
and provide the news media with accurate information
and sources in Latino community for fair and
effective coverage of issues. LIF addresses
public policy issues from the perspective
of how they will affect the social and economic
future of the Latino community. |

San Diego Association of
Nonprofits
(SANDAN) www.sandan.org is
an association of San Diego County nonprofit organizations
established to represent the role of the nonprofit
sector in advancing community well-being.
It is based upon the belief that the quality
of life of San Diego residents is
linked to the existence of a strong nonprofit
sector. SANDAN advocates for, promotes and supports
the vital work and contributions of the San Diego nonprofit sector.
