Chicano Federation and BB&T- John Burnham Insurance Services team up to transform the outdoor play area at Barrio Logan Child Development Center!

On May 17, 2018, volunteers from BB&T – John Burnham Insurance Services transformed the outdoor space at the Barrio Logan Child Development Center by painting and installing a vertical garden.

“We wanted to work with Chicano Federation because of the great work they do in the San Diego community,” said Karen Reid, Area President. “We’re proud to team up with them and help in any way we can.”

This project was part of the BB&T’s ninth annual Lighthouse Project. BB&T hopes their efforts encourage others in the community to volunteer their time and support organizations such as The Chicano Federation’s Barrio Logan Child Development Center.
